The Boston Celtics defeated the Indiana Pacers 129-124 on Sunday night behind a 30-point performance from Jayson Tatum. Tatum also recorded 8 assists and 7 rebounds in the勝利, which extends the Celtics' win streak to four games.
The Celtics led by as many as 19 points in the fourth quarter, but the Pacers fought back to cut the lead to just two points with less than two minutes remaining. Tatum came up with a clutch block on a Pacers' layup attempt with 1:10 left in the game, and then hit a pair of free throws to seal the victory.
Tatum's performance was his third 30-point game in the last four contests. He now has 12,618 career points, passing John Havlicek to become the Celtics' all-time leading scorer.
The Celtics were led in scoring by Tatum, but Jaylen Brown also had a strong performance with 23 points. Malcolm Brogdon added 19 points and 8 assists, while Robert Williams III had 14 points and 12 rebounds.
The Pacers were led by Tyrese Haliburton, who had 25 points and 9 assists. Buddy Hield added 22 points, while Jalen Smith had 19 points and 10 rebounds.
With the victory, the Celtics improve to 34-15 on the season. They will return to action on Tuesday night when they host the Miami Heat.
