Congresswoman Maxine Moore Waters (D-CA) is the representative for California’s 43rd congressional district. She has served since January 3, 2013. Prior to representing the 43rd district, she represented the 35th Congressional District from 1991 until redistricting in 2012.

Congresswoman Waters has become a leading voice on financial services and housing issues. She is also a strong advocate for working families, women, children, civil rights, veterans, and seniors. She is known for her outspokenness on these issues.
